Siraj drops a sitter at long-off [Twitter]
Someone has said it right, when you are playing at the Chinnaswamy, there is hardly any room for error. In the ongoing IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders, Mohammed Siraj dropped a sitter at long-off and gave a lifeline to Nitish Rana.
The incident occurred in the 13th over bowled by Vyshak Vijay Kumar. Vyshak, who had already picked up the wickets of Jagadeesan and Roy looked in confidence as he bowled a knuckle ball and surprised Rana with it.
The KKR skipper went after the bowler and miscued his attempted slog. The ball went high in the air and should have been a simple catch for Siraj at long-off. But the RCB pacer made a mess of it and dropped the catch.
RCB captain Virat Kohli wasn't happy with Siraj and immediately swapped the position and placed himself at long-off.
Rana made RCB pay for it and smacked Vyshak for a big six in the same over.
At the time of writing, KKR are 126 for 12 inside 14 overs. They'll be eyeing 200 from here on, with the likes of Andre Russell and Rinku Singh waiting in the dugout.
