What is the IPL Match Today | Expected Changes, Weather Report, Head-to-Head

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will go toe-to-toe against the Kolkata knight Riders (KKR) in match number 36 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

KKR defeated RCB the last time these two sides met at the Eden Gardens early in the month. Virat Kohli and co. will be up for revenge as two crucial points are up for grabs. A win here for RCB will take them to the third spot in the points table, just below Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.

Expected Changes

RCB

Predicting an RCB XI is a tedious task. They have chopped and changed a bit too much, but Kohli will be looking to build a settled squad. The good news is that Josh Hazlewood is fit and is in the contention to play this match. Now the big question is - Who will be left out? David Willey was exceptional in the last match against the Rajasthan Royals, and can chip in with the bat as well.

He is certainly above Wayne Parnell in the pecking order. Hazlewood is brilliant with the new ball and come in as a death over specialist, something which the Red Army are lacking. Barring that, expect the same team to play which defeated RR. Faf du Plessis will continue to play as the Impact Player.

KKR

The KKR management have made some baffling decisions as of late. Andre Russell is backed even after so many string of low scores, but Litton Das was removed from last game's playing XI because of one poor game. KKR bowlers were taken to the cleaners in the last match at the hands of CSK, and they need that extra zip in the bowling attack.

They can look to bring in someone like Lockier Ferguson, who has that extra pace. As good as David Wiese has been in the shortest format of the game, KKR need that X factor with the ball on a smallish Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Weather Report

Bengaluru generally has a pleasant weather throughout the year. Today the maximum temperature will go upto 32 degrees. However, the temperature will dip in as the night comes. There is no chance of rain and the game will go ahead smoothly.

Head-to-Head

These two teams have always had a fiery battle. The two teams have met 32 times against each other, with KKR having the upper hand. The two-time IPL winners have won 18 matches, as compared to 14 by RCB. Can Kohli and his men make it 15 tonight?
