Pakistan's promising speedster Mohammad Hasnain had a dream start to the Panthers' ongoing Champions Cup encounter against the Markhors at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad. The right-arm seamer got rid of the Markhors' in-form batter Kamran Ghulam before dismissing skipper Mohammad Rizwan for a golden duck.

While Rizwan got out playing a loose shot away from his body, Kamran Ghulam was completely outfoxed by Hasnain's lethal nip-backer. The incident occurred during the third over of the Markhors' innings when Ghulam was trying to steady the ship for his side alongside Fakhar Zaman. After Ali Raza got rid of Haseebullah, Hasnain derailed the Markhors with Ghulam's prized scalp.

From over the wicket, Hasnain bowled a good length delivery, which jagged back into Ghulam after pitching just outside the off-stump. The batter, who is in prolific form this tournament, failed to read the movement as he shouldered his arms to leave the ball.

However, the ball nipped back into him sharply, uprooting his off stump in this process. Soon after removing Ghulam, Hasnain outsmarted Rizwan with a full-length out-swinger. His exceptional opening spell helped the Saim Ayub-led side get a magnificent start with the ball and claim the driving seat.

Markhors Lose Three Early Wickets Vs Panthers

Mohammad Rizwan's decision to bat first proved disastrous for his side, as the Panthers' rampant pace battery rattled their top-order in quick succession. While the left-handed Haseebullah departed for three runs, Ghulam and Rizwan perished on consecutive deliveries without troubling the scorers much.

Considering it's a clash between the table-toppers, the Markhors would be keen to bounce back and consolidate their first position in the Champions Cup points table. At the time of writing, the Markhors were 21 for three, with Fakhar Zaman and Agha Salman batting on 11* and 4*, respectively.
