Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal has lashed out at the PCB, accusing the board of lacking vision and professionalism. Pakistan have experienced a spiral downfall of late, incurring numerous crushing defeats at the biggest stage. After a disastrous ODI World Cup campaign in India, Babar Azam's men made a shambolic group-stage exit in the ICC World T20 in the Caribbean and USA this year.

Kamran Akmal Lambasts PCB For Pakistan's Dismal Performance

Meanwhile, former keeper-batter Kamran Akmal has slammed the board for Pakistan's fall from grace. Speaking on his YouTube channel, the ex-cricketer took a verbal dig at PCB, questioning its decision-making process.

He also urged the Pakistan Cricket Board to learn something from its Indian counterpart, the BCCI, and appoint able support staff and ensure all modern-day facilities to make Pakistan a cricketing superpower.

"PCB should learn from BCCI, their professionalism, their team, selector, captain, and coaches. These are the things that make a team number one and dominate the world. If we were so good, then Pakistan cricket wouldn't be here. It is because of your ego Pakistan cricket is suffering," Akmal stated.

How Did Pakistan Cricket Hit The Rock Bottom In Bangladesh Tests?

If the embarrassing World Cup defeats against teams like the United States and Afghanistan were not enough, Pakistan hit a new low by conceding a whitewash to Bangladesh in the recently concluded Test series. Their Test performance has been nothing short of horrendous, as they have managed only two wins this WTC cycle, reeling at eighth in the nine-team standings.

Although their WTC campaign is all but over, Pakistan would be keen to restore their pride and stun the Englishmen when they play them in a three-match series next month.
