Mohammad Amir has retired from all formats for Pakistan, but he is still a quality bowler who is delivering consistently in leagues around the world. In the third season of ILT20, Mohammad Amir is playing for Desert Vipers and the star cricketer has again shown that he still has lot of things to offer in the shortest format.

Desert Vipers started off the season with four consecutive wins, but they have lost the fifth encounter against Dubai Capitals. However, Amir did create hope by bagging a big wicket of Sikandar Raza in the 15th over.

It was a slower short ball, very cleverly bowled by Mohammad Amir around off. He kept his length short because Raza advanced down the track, and the batter then was left short of options, and tried to work the ball  behind square on the offside to bail himself out at the last moment.

He only managed to get an outside edge though and the wicketkeeper Tanish Suri took an easy catch behind the stumps. Dubai Capitals were still in good position after losing Raza, but it gave a glimmer of hope to Desert Vipers and Amir who could not find a breakthrough with the new ball, managed to outclass a quality batter like Sikandar Raza at a score of 24.

The joy was short-lived though, and Gulbadin Naib delivered a quality unbeaten knock of 78 from just 51 balls to take his side over the line. It was a much-needed win for Dubai Capitals who were languishing at the bottom of the table before this game and would be hoping to build on this win going forward.
