The third season of ILT20 is now into its 13th game and it is Desert Vipers up against Dubai Capitals. The home team won the toss and decided to bowl first and managed to grab wickets at regular intervals to stem the run-flow despite promising starts by top order batters.

One of them was Fakhar Zaman. The star Pakistan batter has played some eye-catching knocks in this season and with Champions Trophy selection around the corner, all eyes are on his performance in ILT20. In the game against Capitals, he started well with a four in the first over and then hammered six in the second over against Dushmantha Chameera, the Lankan pacer who has been bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Fakhar Zaman Falls After Promising Start

However, the pacer came back strongly on the fourth delivery of the same over and delivered a lovely slower ball. He bowled it on a length on off and Fakhar Zaman went for a wild slog, however, he missed the ball completely due to lack of pace and ended up playing all around it as the ball shattered the stumps.

Fakhar Zaman was extremely disappointed after his wicket and kept looking down for few seconds before taking a long walk back to the pavilion. It was a huge wicket for Dubai Capitals and it exposed the Vipers' middle order early in the game.

Desert Vipers have won all their four matches so far and are at the top of the table while Delhi Capitals are at the bottom with only one win in four matches. It is a chance for them to take n upward flight on the points table and it would be interesting to see how things pan out as the match progresses.
