On Tuesday, January 21, West Indies women will lock horns against Bangladesh women for the 2nd ODI at Warner Park in St. Kitts. The hosts got off to the perfect start in the series as they registered a thumping nine wickets win. 

In the first ODI between West Indies and Bangladesh, the visitors, batting first, put 198 runs on the board. In reply, the Windies chased down the target comfortably in just 31 overs with nine wickets in hand. Hayley Mathews was the star with the bat as she smashed a century.

The surface at the Warner Park is great for batters as seen in the first match. The pitch offers initial bounce that is also enjoyable by the batters. However, the bowlers also have their say as the pitch gets favourable for the spinners. The first match between Bangladesh and West Indies was opposite contrast as West Indies dominated both with bat and ball.

  • Another star player in West Indies, who couldn't get to bat in the first match was Deandra Dottin. Despite not getting to bat, Dottin had an impact in the match as she was the pick of the bowlers and took a three-wicket haul.

Nigar Sultana

  • Bangladesh had a day to forget in the first ODI, but skipper Nigar Sultana is someone who can be trusted with the bat. She failed in the first match, but is expected to score big in the 2nd ODI.
