Mohammad Amir has been an enigma over the years! His talent has never been in doubt, but somehow the star bowler has not played for Pakistan as much as everyone expected when he burst onto the scene as a teenager. He has now retired across formats at the international level, but is playing franchise leagues and in ILT20, he is plying his trade for Desert Vipers.

The left-arm seamer has picked wicket at regular intervals and in the ninth match of the season, the pacer delivered a killer blow by sending back dangerous Philip Salt. The Englishman has done quite well in the shortest format in the last couple of years and after a successful IPL 2024 for KKR, he has been bought by RCB ahead of next season.

Amir's First Blood Proves Crucial In Desert Vipers' Win

In ILT20, he is playing for Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, but Amir made sure that he does not hurt Desert Vipers in this game and removed him in the very first over. On the fourth delivery, Mohammad Amir bowled a length delivery, outside off and the right-handed batter went across to sweep him over deep mid-wicket.

He did not get the desired power in his shot though and ended up hitting it to the deep mid-wicket fielder Nathan Sowter. It was a crucial breakthrough, and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders needed Salt to deliver in the run-chase of 194.

After his wicket, Joe Clarke scored fifty and Jason Holder played a good cameo, but it was not enough, and Desert Vipers eventually won the game by 53 runs.
