Moeen Ali took a spectacular diving catch on Saturday (November 4) during Australia's high-voltage World Cup 2023 match against England at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. 

The English all-rounder, in the process, got rid of a well-set Steve Smith, as Adil Rashid dismissed the former Australian captain to bring his side back on track.

It was the fourth ball of the 22nd over, which Rashid bowled a classic leg spin against Smith. The talismanic batsman turned back and tried to slash it through short cover, only to find a thick outside edge.

Placed at short third, Moeen saw the opportunity coming and dived to his left to take an excellent catch.

Rashid was delighted after Smith’s wicket, as the Australian, who was not having a good time in India, fell for a 52-ball 44.

Having been asked into bat, Australia got off to a torrid start, having lost both in-form openers David Warner and Travis Head early. Smith and Marnus Labuschagne held the fort, but they collapsed again as the star-studded side have posted 146/4 after 28 overs.
