[Watch] Glenn Phillips ‘Hammers’ Shaheen Afridi As Low Full Toss Goes For 'Handsome' Six

Pakistan's talismanic fast bowler Shaheen Afridi had a rare off day against New Zealand in Match 35 of the World Cup 2023 in Bengaluru. The 23-year-old conceded 90 runs without taking any wicket off his 10 overs, as the Kiwis, with the return of Kane Williamson, piled up 401/6 after Babar Azam asked them to bat first.

While Shaheen got smacked left, right, and centre by many Kiwi batters throughout the innings, the one shot which New Zealand all-rounder Glenn Phillips slammed against him caught a lot of attention.

It was the last ball of the 48th over by Shaheen, which was a low full toss towards the middle and leg stump. The 26-year-old Kiwi all-rounder knew something similar was coming, and thus, he was prepared to send it into disappears.

And it happened, as Phillps went down the ground, and handsomely played it over long-on for a wonderful six.

Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra starred with the bat for the Black Caps yet again, this time against the Men in Green. The youngster slammed 108 runs off just 94 balls, laced with 15 fours and one six.
