NZ Create 'This' Unique World Record With 46 Fours In A Mammoth 401 Against PAK

The 35th match of World Cup 2023 between New Zealand and Pakistan is a do-or-die game for Pakistan. They won the toss and decided to bowl first on a flat deck at M.Chinnaswamy in a hope that their pacers will get some early help in the morning. However, it backfired big time as New Zealand came out all guns blazing and ended up smashing 401 in their 50 overs. They hit a record '46' fours in their innings which is now a world record for most fours in a World Cup match.

It was quite a carnage from New Zealand as Pakistan's best bowler Shaheen Afridi was carted all around the park and ended up giving 90 runs in his 10 overs.

The Kiwis lost Conway in the 11th over but Kane Williamson's arrival on the field started what would go down as one of the finest second-wicket partnership for New Zealand in World Cup as the Kiwi skipper along with Rachin Ravindra piled up 180 runs between them. Rachin departed after scoring a century while Kane Williamson missed out on his century by just 5 runs as Mohammad Wasim Jr. was the only Pakistani bowler who displayed some fight on a flat deck at the M.Chinnaswamy.

Mohammad Wasim Jr. picked three wickets but he could not stop Kiwis from crossing 400 with middle order batters playing some handy cameos and after three consecutive losses, New Zealand look like a team on a mission.
