Mitchell Starc and Steve Smith have been playing for a long time together and share a special bond. However, on the Day 2 of the second Test match between Australia and West Indies, Starc was left frustrated and angry as Steve Smith dropped a sitter at the second slip, giving West Indian skipper Kraigg Brathwaite another life.

West Indies have shown great fight in the Pink-ball Test at the Gabba so far, and that frustrated showed on the faces of the Aussies, as no one expected a young and inexperienced Windies unit to challenge Australia at their own backyard. West Indies scored 311 in the first innings while Australia declared at 289/9, hoping to get some quick wickets under lights at the fag end of Day 2.

Starc created an opportunity on the final delivery of the 5th over but it was put down. Starc bowled a nice fullish delivery, around off. Brathwaite lunged forward to defend it but the ball caught the outside edge of his blade and went towards Smith at second slip.

However, the Aussie great failed to grab it as he bent forward to catch it. Starc definitely was not happy with the effort and went back to his mark shaking his head in disbelief.

Hazlewood managed to get a wicket of Brathwaite's opening partner, Tagenarine Chanderpaul and West Indies have ended the Day 2 with a lead of 35 runs.
