Mark Wood was on absolute fire during West Indies' second innings as he finish it with a five-wicket haul in Edgbaston Test on Sunday. Wood ended the day with 5-40 as the Windies were wrapped up for 175, before England chased down the target of 87 runs inside 7.2 overs.

Wood, who bagged seven wickets in the Test for his Player of the Match, took scalps of Kavem Hodge, Joshua Da Silva, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph and Jayden Seales. However, among the five wickets, the best wicket was of Alzarri Joseph.

Bowling his 12th over, the speedster bowled a way fuller delivery a tad outside the off-stump. Alzarri Joseph, in response, tried clearing his back foot, which made a huge gap between the bat and the pad. The ball tailed in late to disturb the right-hander's middle stump, which went for a toss.

Earlier in the Test match, West Indies had their tails up when they slammed 282 in the first innings, before taking five quick wickets in the English innings. However, Joe Root and Jamie Smith redeemed the Three Lions as they went on to take a mammoth 94-run lead.

After Mark Wood's sensational five-wicket haul, West Indies could only give England a target of 82 runs, which they chased down inside 7.2 overs thanks to Ben Stokes, who registered the fastest half-century for his national team in Test cricket.
