Ben Stokes, the charismatic all-rounder and captain of the England Test team, added another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career by smashing the fastest fifty in England's Test history.

West Indies bottled the third Test against England as they suffered a brutal 10-wicket loss. With England reduced to 54/5 in the second inning, the Windes let the host crawl back. Jamie Smith's 95-run knock, backed by Ben Stokes and Chris Wokes' fifties, propelled the hosts to a 376 total.

West Indies crumbled at 175 runs total in the third innings, thus leaving 81 runs simple chase for the hosts.

That being said, given the magnitude of the chase total, England captain and all-rounder Ben Stokes opened the innings and went nuclear with the bazball approach.

He fetched 12 runs off the first over itself, thus setting the stage for a blazing finish. Ben Duckett supported him equally well from the other side as the duo tonked 49 runs in the first four overs.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes slammed the first six off the innings in the 7th over to bring up his fifty in style. Notably, his fifty came off just 24 balls, thus making him the quickest-ever English batter to get a fifty in Test cricket.

Stokes's aggressive approach not only put the opposition on the back foot but also provided a significant boost to the team's morale.

That being said, the captain didn't stop there as he smoked yet another maximum in the next over to finish the 81-run chase in just 7.2 overs.

With that, England have swept West Indies to go 3-0 in the three-game Test series. The series victory is crucial with respect to the World Test Championship standings.
