Delhi Capitals missed Kuldeep Yadav dearly in their previous few fixtures in the IPL 2024, given the fact that the left-arm wrist spinner is a genuine wicket-taker irrespective of any scenarios of the game. 

And he returned in style on Friday (April 12) when DC faced Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 26 in the ongoing edition at Ekana Cricket Stadium, deceiving Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran on successive deliveries.

And how he got the wicket of Stoinis was nothing but old-school bowling, something which he often does for both club and country.

Coming to bowl the eighth over of LSG’s innings, Kuldeep bowled a nicely tossed-up delivery, tempting Stoinis to go big. All the Australian hard-hitting all-rounder could do was a leading-edge, and the ball went straight into the hands of Ishant Sharma at short third.

Stoinis was frustrated with himself after that, leading him to smash his bat while walking back to the pavilion.

At the time of writing this, KL Rahul is still going strong, batting on 39* off just 21 balls, with LSG reaching 76/4 after nine overs. For DC, Khaleel Ahmed took two wickets with the new ball, with Quinton de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal being the victims, while Kuldeep took the other wickets.
