Kyle Mayers played an audacious Nataraj shot, that too without looking at the ball, on Sunday during Surrey Jaguars' Global T20 Canada 2024 fixture against Brampton Wolves in Brampton. The shot reminded many fans of Kapil Dev, who used to play the shot day in and day out during his cricketing days.

Mayers, who played for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), smashed the vintage hit against Jack Jarvis. 

The right-arm quick came to bowl around the wicket, and Mayers kept his eyes down the ground while nonchalantly slamming it over deep square leg for six runs.

However, Mayers did not last long, as he could only make 18 runs before Thomas Draca sent him packing during the fourth over of Surrey's innings.

Batting first, Surrey made 124 runs on the board, with Marcus Stoinis once again making significant impact with a well-made 39 off 23 deliveries. In reply, David Warner-led Brampton Wolves only took 15.1 overs to get the job done, having lost four wickets in the proceedings.
