Mohammad Amir had a delightful Global T20 Canada 2024 until Wednesday (July 31) when Vancouver Knights took on Brampton Wolves in Match 11 of the ongoing edition in Brampton.

The 32-year-old got battered by David Warner, one of the best in the business, when the duo faced each other in an intense mini-battle.

Amir, who had been in supreme touch, was thumped by Warner after the latter took some time in the middle. The Australian opener made 25 off 20 balls, and due to Warner's thrashing, Amir conceded as many as 24 runs off his 3.1 overs, which included no success.

Eventually, Brampton Wolves won the match by six wickets, as they restricted Vancouver Knights to 149/4, and then saw off the target in 18.1 overs.

For the Wolves, Thomas Draca was impressive with the ball, taking 2/17 off his three overs, while Beau Webster made an unbeaten 49 off 37 balls, which included three sixes and two fours, to get the job done without much trouble. 

For the Knights, Dipendra Singh Airee was only impressed with the ball, conceding 18 off his four overs.
