India's premier left-arm leg spinner, Kuldeep Yadav, did a commendable job in the Super 4 game against Pakistan at the Asia Cup 2023 by picking up five wickets while giving away just 25 runs. The chinaman bowler was excellent with the ball as he helped his side demolish the neighbours for just 128 runs as they were handed a massive defeat by 228 runs.

Kuldeep was in and out of the side on many occasions in the past but has finally managed to seal his place in the team. The 28-year-old bagged five wickets, with two of them getting bowled; one was found in front of the wicket, and the other two getting caught.

This outstanding performance from the bowler has helped him record his name in the record books featuring all-time greats. Talking about the records, he became the second Indian ever to pick up a fifer against Pakistan in Asia Cup after Arshad Ayub, who got his in 1988.

Not just this, he also became the second Indian to pick a fifer in the Asia Cup, with only Ayub bettering him, who grabbed figures of 5/21 in the match mentioned above. Adding to this, the following best figures by an Indian in the Asia Cup were from Virender Sehwag, who registered 4/6 against Bangladesh in 2010.

Further, this was the third-best figures for an Indian bowler against Pakistan, with Ayub at second and, surprisingly, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly at first as he recorded sensational figures of 5/16 in Toronto, 1997.

Men in Blue posted 356 on the board on the back of two impressive centuries from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. After this mammoth victory, India's next challenge will be Sri Lanka, whom they will have to face without any break on the 12th of September at the same venue.
