In the third CPL 2024 match between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the Warner Stadium in St Kitts, the Kieron Pollard-led side, batting first, demolished the hosts and posted the third-highest total in the history of CPL.

The Knight Riders were eyeing to break their own record but put 250 runs on the board. Nicholas Pooran was the star with the bat with his brilliant 97 (43), while luck was on Keacy Carty's side as he scored 73 runs despite being dropped thrice in the innings.

Dominic Drakes struggled to find rhythm with the ball

It was a night to forget for the bowlers as they were being bashed all over the park, particularly, Dominic Drakes.

Drakes was the most expensive of the lot, rather he bowled out the most expensive spell in the history of CPL. The right-arm seamer registered the figures of 77/0 in his four overs.

He broke Jimmy Neesham's record for the most expensive spell in CPL history, as the New Zealand veteran had held the record for five years after he leaked 68 runs in his quota of four overs against the Patriots at the same ground.

Overall, it is the third most expensive spell in T20 history, only behind Mattie Mckiernan (82) and Sarmad Anwar (81). Here is the complete list.

Red Card And Slow Over-Rate Affected Drakes' Bowling

When Drake came to bowl his last over, which was also the 19th over of the match, he had to hurry things up and sprint towards his bowling marker after every delivery because of the slow over-rate, which caused a big distraction and stopped him from analysing his next deliveries.

Nonetheless, the on-field umpire did show a red-card to the Patriots for running late before the last over.
