On Day 2 of the Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B, Musheer Khan, the 19-year-old sensation, showcased his prodigious talent at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. His innings of 181 runs off 373 balls was nothing short of extraordinary. 

Musheer, who had already made headlines on Day 1 with a solid start, continued his stellar performance, culminating in a memorable debut knock.

Musheer began his innings with some uncertainty, especially as wickets fell around him. However, his resolve hardened, and he constructed a formidable innings, anchoring India B’s first innings with poise and precision. 

His partnership with Navdeep Saini proved crucial, allowing Khan to build his innings and accumulate runs despite the pressure from India A's bowlers.

Musheer Khan's Marathon Knock Comes to an End

Musheer resumed his innings at 105 and accelerated to 181 runs. Despite several close calls, where the DRS came to his rescue, Musheer's remarkable stay at the crease was eventually ended by Kuldeep Yadav. 

Kuldeep's delivery, pitched on the fourth stump line, tempted Khan into a risky shot. The top edge flew to Riyan Parag at deep square leg, ending one of the most impressive debut innings in Duleep Trophy history.

Musheer Khan Surpasses Sachin Tendulkar

Khan's 181 runs is now the third-highest individual score for a teenager on Duleep Trophy debut. His performance surpasses Sachin Tendulkar's debut score of 159 runs from January 1991. This innings not only highlighted Khan’s potential but also set a new benchmark for future young talents in Indian cricket.

At the time of writing, India B finished their first innings at 321 after being in a tough spot at 94/7 on day 1.
