The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to be a redemption arc for Ishan Kishan as the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter tore apart the Rajasthan Royals bowlers and smashed a 25-ball fifty to push his team's total beyond the opposition's reach at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

SRH were put into bat by RR skipper, Riyan Parag and it turned out to be the biggest mistake as Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma were off to a flying start as the deadly duo smashed the ball all around the park and blasted 45 runs inside 19 balls.

Abhishek departed for 24, but the carnage continued as Ishan Kishan and Travis Head bludgeoned their way to huge scores and helped SRH record the fifth highest power-play total in IPL history. With Head gone, Ishan took the centre stage as boundary floodgates opened and the new number 3 batter smashed a 25-ball fifty to silence his critics.

After reaching the landmark with back-to-back sixes, Ishan couldn't control his emotions as he gave a flying kiss to the crowd and SRH owner, Kavya Maran beamed with joy looking at the carnage witnessed.

IPL 2025 to resurrect Ishan Kishan's career?

The pocket dynamo was dropped from the Indian side at the start of 2024 and he also lost his BCCI central contract. Eventually, the likes of Rishabh Pant, Dhruv Jurel and Sanju Samson moved ahead in the pecking order as Ishan's stocks fell.

However, the ongoing season could provide a chance for Ishan to resurrect his career as he looks to regain his place in the team.
