When it comes to destructive batting, the modern cricket fans relate the name of Travis Head with it. The Australian batter has made name for himself as one of the most dangerous batters, especially in the T20 format.

Travis Head Redefining Powerplay Batting

Since IPL 2024, Travis Head along with Abhishek Sharma has redefined powerplay batting. The power and potential of the Aussie opener to destroy bowlers from the beginning of the innings makes him a much feared entity for even the best bowlers in the world.

The express English pacer, Jofra Archer got a taste of the Travis Head recipe in the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. Notably, the Royals won the toss for the game and put the Sunrisers to bat.

Travis Head Reduces Jofra Archer's Level To School Cricket

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma started the innings in their own style taking the RR bowlers down. On the second delivery of the fifth over, Head dismissed Archer from his presence with a shot that made the star bowler appear like school-cricket player.

It was a good length delivery at the off and middle stump line. The left-handed SRH opener cleared his front foot and swatted away the ball over the mid-wicket fence for huge maximum. The distance meter later showed that the ball had travelled a distance of 105 metres. The shot was an example of the courage and power the Aussie opener has.
