Kamran Ghulam is an animated character on the field and just like Mohammad Rizwan, is known for his on-field antics. In his short international career, Ghulam has rattled many cricketers, and also had an altercation with Pat Cummins during the ODI series.
However, in the ongoing Test match against South Africa, Ghulam picked up a new enemy as he was involved in an ugly argument with South African keeper Kyle Verreynne.
The incident unfolded in the 31st over of the match as mid-way through the over, Ghulam said something to the Proteas keeper and this infuriated him as Verreynne turned back and gave an angry look before uttering something to the Pakistan batter.
This is not the first time he has been involved in an altercation. During the white-ball tour of Australia, last month, Ghulam provoked their skipper Pat Cummins and he dismissed the Pakistan batter to silence him.
Ghulam scored gritty fifty as Pakistan crumble
While all the other Pakistan batters failed, it was Kamran Ghulam who stood tall and scored a brisk 54 off 71 balls. He looked comfortable on a tricky surface as other batters failed to deliver the goods.
The new opening pair of Saim Ayub and Shan Masood added 36 runs for the first wicket, and once Masood departed, the batting lineup crumbled. Babar Azam went back for just 4, and Saim Ayub also departed cheaply.
Mohammad Rizwan and Ghulam had a brief partnership before that was also broken. Once Ghulam lost his wicket, South African pacers, particularly Dane Paterson ran riot as at the stroke of tea, Pakistan are 209/9.
