Babar Azam was expected to produce a fine performance on his Test return, but the former skipper had a horror show as he was dismissed for just 4 runs in the first Test Vs South Africa at the Centurion.

Babar came into bat after the fall of captain Shan Masood. He started off the innings with a stellar boundary on his first delivery on Test return, but things didn't go according to his plans as Dane Paterson bowled a length ball outside the off and the Pakistan batter gave a fitting tribute to Virat Kohli by getting an outside-edge to the slips.

Babar Azam trolled heavily by fans

After his another flop show in Tests, the Pakistan fans couldn't control their anger as they trolled Babar for not delivering against the Proteas side.

Pakistan lose 4 quick wickets in first session

The new opening duo of Saim Ayub and Shan Masood started off in fine fashion as the duo added 36 runs for the first wicket. However, with Masood's wicket, the Pakistan top order crumbled under pressure.

Dane Paterson and Corbin Bosch grabbed two wickets each as the visiting batters failed to deliver the goods. Saim Ayub followed Masood back to the pavilion for 14 and Babar departed for 4 runs.

Saud Shakeel started off his innings with a flurry of boundaries, but he, too, was knocked over for 14 runs as the team lost 4 wickets in no time. However, Mohammad Rizwan and Kamran Ghulam steadied the ship as the visitors finished with 88/4 at the stroke of lunch.
