Australia's dynamic batter Josh Inglis showcased his wicket-keeping masterclass in San Francisco Unicorns' recent MLC 2024 clash against MI New York on Friday at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

Inglis, who was cheaply dismissed, courtesy of Dewald Brevis' spectacular catch, took an exceptional DRS to leave MI opener Ruben Clinton shell-shocked.

The incident occurred during the second over of MI New York's innings after Corey Anderson powered the Unicorns to a respectable 148-total through a fighting half century.

The former BlackCaps allrounder's strategic move to introduce Matthew Short into the attack paid rich dividends as the off-spinner dismissed MI's Ruben Clinton with a beauty.

As Short came from around the wicket, Clinton made room for himself in order to go big through the off side.

However, Short slightly shortened his length, as the southpaw edged it to Josh Inglis, who took a sharp catch behind the stumps.

But as the San Francisco players appealed for a caught behind, on-field umpire Marais Erasmus declared the batter not out.

Inglis was convinced that the batter had nicked the ball, so, he instantly advised Corey Anderson to go upstairs.

After seeing the replay, the TV umpire found a clear deflection off Clinton's bat, asking his on-field colleague to overturn his decision.

Chasing 149, MI New York finished on 145/7 despite Dewald Brevis' outrageous knock, losing the high-stakes match by only three runs.
