The much-awaited India and England semifinal saw India dominating defending champions and ending up with a comprehensive win of 68 runs. It was a complete performance from the Men in Blue and India's premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah finished it off in style with the final wicket of Jofra Archer.

The last wicket came on the fourth delivery of the 17th over when Jasprit Bumrah bowled it very full on middle. Archer came across to his right and tried to work it towards the leg side, but missed it completely. The ball hit his pad and Bumrah appealed along with other Indian players and the umpire did not hesitate to raise his finger.

Archer did review it but the replays did not change the original decision and Archer had to walk back dejected as India booked their place in the final.

In reply, Buttler got off to a decent start, but once Axar got the better of him, wickets kept falling at regular intervals and England were eventually bowled out for just 103.
