Axar Patel has been India's unsung hero, and their semi-final clash against England tells us that it's high time he got long-due credit.
His brilliant spell of 3 wickets, after giving just 23 runs, was instrumental in India's victory. His performance helped India restrict Jos Buttler and Co to a mediocre total of 103 runs, paving the way for India's return to the finals of the T20 World Cup 2024 after ten years.
He first picked up the wicket of England skipper Jos Buttler, who looked in absolutely fine form. Then he continued his exploits against Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow, for which he won the Player of the Match award too.
