Jos Buttler is one of the most dangerous batters in world cricket, and whenever he gets going, the man is pretty hard to stop. In the all-important semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2024 between India and England, he started off on a bright note as well with 23 off 15 balls, but Axar Patel showed his class on the very first ball and got the better of Jos Buttler.

It was the first delivery of the fourth over and Axar Patel bowled it full on off. Jos Buttler had made his mind and went for a reverse-sweep but got into a bizarre position and the ball looped up in the air off the bottom of his blade behind the stumps.

Rishabh Pant behind the stumps did the rest as he took an easy catch and India got the much-needed opening they needed.

After Buttler's wicket, Jasprit Bumrah cleaned up Phil Salt as well and then Axar Patel came back to dismiss Jonny Bairstow on style. Earlier, the game started late due to rain and Buttler asked India to bat first. India lost Virat and Pant early, but Rohit and Suryakumar Yadav showed their class and India ended up with a competitive total of 171.
