Two years ago, in January, as India and South Africa faced off in their second Test at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen exchanged heated words. The ace pacer, even today, still remembers what happened in the past. Hence, he thoroughly enjoyed picking the tall South African all-rounder’s wicket on Thursday during the second and final Test at Newlands, Cape Town.

It was a pitched-up delivery by Bumrah, bowled at 139 kph, which Jansen played straight to the bowler. Bumrah was active after completing his run-up and completed a sharp catch in his follow-through. Immediately after, he threw the ball straight up in the air, and celebrated his success with a huge roar.

Rohit Sharma, India’s all-format captain, came straight to Bumrah with a huge roar, and Indians, including Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Shubman Gill, were all pumped up after Jansen’s wicket. The South African, on the other hand, was left stranded in the middle of the pitch.

As of writing, South Africa are on the verge of a defeat, having posted 128/7 in the second innings. They are currently leading by 30 runs, and adding 70 more runs could turn this game into a fascinating contest.
