Indian Test zealot Cheteshwar Pujara has posted a short video of one of his recent training sessions ahead of the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. In late December, i.e., a couple of days after India's crushing defeat to South Africa at Centurion, the cricketer had also shared a similar video for his fans on social media with the caption "Ranji Trophy prep mode on."

Pujara, known for his traditional approach with the bat, can be seen slogging and sweeping at one stage of his latest training session.

Cheteshwar Pujara continues training regime

Indian batting barnacle Cheteshwar Pujara has shared a sizzling seven-second training video of himself a day prior to Saurashtra's planned Group A Ranji Trophy fixture against Jharkhand in Rajkot.

The entertaining short footage packed a wide range of Pujara's strokes, including ones which the cricketer uses in rarity, like lofted shots and slog sweeps.

Cheteshwar Pujara played the last of his 103 Test matches for India back in June 2023 at The Oval against Australia. The seasoned campaigner returned with scores of just 14 and 27 in two innings of the high-octane Test as Team India slumped to a 209-run defeat in the final of the 2021-23 WTC cycle.

Pujara, along with fellow senior man Ajinkya Rahane, were subsequently sidelined from India's Test tours of West Indies and South Africa.

The 36-year-old is currently slated to play in the 2024 Ranji Trophy season for Saurashtra. The cricketer has also played several County Championship matches for Sussex in the last two years.
