Swashbuckling opening batter Jake Fraser-McGurk finished Australia's Scotland tour with a failure, as Brandon McMullen's stunning catch led to his dismissal in the third dead-rubber on Saturday. Known for his hard-hitting ability, Fraser-McGurk registered his third consecutive low score, with Brad Currie dismissing him for the second time on the tour.

The incident occurred during the second over of Australia's run-chase after Scotland posted a respectable 149-run total, courtesy of McMullen's scintillating half-century. The all-rounder showcased his mettle as a fielder, with his breathtaking catch leading to Fraser-McGurk's dismissal.

After McMullen conceded a solitary run off the first over, Scotland captain Richie Berrington handed the ball to the in-form Brad Currie, who enjoyed stellar success in the penultimate affair. His decision was a tactical masterstroke, as the left-arm pacer got rid of Fraser-McGurk on his second delivery.

Currie bowled a good-length delivery from over the wicket, which moved slightly away from Fraser-McGurk after pitching just outside the off stump. The aggressive batter slashed the ball aerially through the off-side in a desperate move to get off the mark.

Unfortunately for him, McMullen, stationed at a backward point, dived to his left and took an outstanding catch to send him packing. His incredible fielding effort spoke volumes about his commitment to the team, signifying his importance in the Scottish line-up.

After Fraser-McGurk departed, Brad Currie got the better of Travis Head, who could only muster 12 runs. However, Cameron Green's blistering half-century and valuable cameos from Mitchell Marsh and Tim David helped the visitors get over the line in 16.1 overs with six wickets to spare.
