Yashasvi Jaiswal’s poor run of form in the IPL 2024 continued on Saturday (April 6) in Match 19 of the ongoing edition between RCB and RR in Jaipur. The southpaw, who was thought to be the frontrunner to open alongside Rohit Sharma in the upcoming T20 World Cup, fell for a two-ball duck, and it was Reece Topley who dismissed him as early as the first over of the RR’s innings.

Earlier in the evening, RCB rode on Virat Kohli’s scintillating century to post 183/3 on the board in Jaipur. RR expected Jaiswal to give them an ideal start, only to see the outcome exactly the opposite a few minutes later.

Topley bowled a short delivery to Jaiswal, who decided to step outside the crease in an attempt to pull. However, the line of the delivery was supreme, not allowing him to get the position he was looking for. As a result, Jaiswal found a huge top-edge, and Glenn Maxwell made no mistake while pouching it with safe hands at mid-off.
