Ishan Kishan, the keeper-batter showcased his class in the ongoing Buchi Babu Tournament. Playing for Jharkhand, Kishan plucked out a brilliant reflex catch to stun Madhya Pradesh batter.

Kishan, who was out of the Indian side since the start of 2024, had a point to prove in the ongoing tournament, and he started on the front-foot, displaying great skills to take a stunning grab behind the stumps.

Kishan shows selectors his worth with stunning catch

Jharkhand spinner, Aditya Singh, bowled a loopy off-break, which spun sharply and surprised the batter, Shubham Kushwah. He goes back in the crease and tried for a square cut, but got deceived by the extra bounce as the ball takes the outside-edge. It travelled quickly to Kishan who failed to grab it in the first attempt, but was alert to pluck it the second time.

The ball looped away after slipping away from his gloves and Kishan stretched his arms to take it safely in the end. The selectors are keeping a close eye on this competition and Kishan has made a solid start.

The Indian keeper-batter left the South Africa series mid-way, last December, and since then has been removed from the BCCI Central Contract.

The only way for Kishan to snatch the contract is by performing in the Buchi Babu Tournament and proving his worth once again.
