[Watch] India's Fielding Resembles Pakistan's With Jadeja, Rahul's 'Schoolboy Errors'

Fielding is one area about which India boast of being sharp. However, it did not seem to be the case for once on Thursday (October 19) during their World Cup 2023 clash against Bangladesh in Pune.

In fact, there was so much sloppiness on the part of the Men in Blue that it reminded me of their 'noisy neighbours' Pakistan, who never fail to amaze the spectators with one blunders after another on the field.

It all happened when two direct hits happened on the same delivery, which were completely unnecessary during the 31st over of Bangladesh’s innings. Shardul Thakur bowled a back-of-a-length delivery, which Mushfiqur Rahim played towards backward point for a single.

Jadeja, however, assumed there was a chance of a run-out, and he threw the ball straight to the stumps at the strikers’ end. Wickets broken immidiately, which allowed Rahim and Towhid Hridoy to make a double.

To make matters worse, KL Rahul threw the ball at the non-strikers’ end while Thakur was going back to his run-up. Stumps were broken again, and thus, a single run turned out to be a three for Bangladesh.

As the Men in Blue did a Pakistan in Pune while on the field, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were in complete disbelief.
