The Australians have started off the second ODI between against India in a dominating manner with both their young openers starting off with a bag. Georgia Litchfield fell for 60, but Georgia Voll continued to play her shots, but had a scare when she was on 86 as Indian debutant Minnu Mani almost pulled off a stunning run-out with a direct hit.

It was the third delivery of the 26th over and Renuka Singh was the bowler. Ellyse Perry was on strike and she dabbed it softly towards the cover region and took off for a single. Minnu Mani, the Indian debutant quickly ran towards the ball, grabbed in and fired a direct hit. Georgia Voll who was running at the other end looked in trouble right from the time the ball hit the stumps and it turned out to be quite a close call, with third umpire taking multiple replays to make his final decision.

Georgia Voll Scores Maiden ODI Century

The bat just touched the ground when the bails took off and Georgia Voll eventually was given not out. She went onto score her maiden century after a promising start in the first ODI and has surely shown her talent on the international stage.

Saima Thakor eventually got the better of her in the 33rd over as she fell for 101 off just 87 balls which included 12 fours. Australia are already ahead in the series with a dominating win in the first game, and India would have to do quite a heavy lifting after a poor start to the second game too.
