The U19 Asia Cup is up and running in style, and India are up against Japan in the eighth match of the tournament. India batted first and smashed 339 with opener Ayush Mhatre scoring a quickfire fifty. Indian skipper Mohammad Amaan scored unbeaten 122, and in reply, Japan have not been able to get going in the run chase.

Indian spinners Hardik Raj and KP Karthikeya were impressive and one of the big wickets was of the opener, Hugo Kelly. The batter scored 50 off 111 balls, and it was Hardik Raj's beautiful guile and turn along with a lightening-fast stumping that ended Japan opener's resistance. It was the third delivery of the 34th over and Raj bowled a nice loopy delivery, just short of the fullish length, around off. The ball turned away and beat Kelly's blade as he tried to drive a ball.

India Stamp Authority With All-Round Performance

The wicketkeeper Harvansh Singh Pangalia though turned back the clock as he collected the ball and whipped the bails in flash, before anyone could could even think of it. The batter was surprised and when the decision went towards the third umpire, it showed that batter's leg was just outside the crease.

It was the fourth wicket of the innings, and Japan's best batter was sent back by an absolute brilliant stumping by the young Indian wicketkeeper. This is India's second match in the tournament, and after the loss in the first match against Pakistan, they have made a strong comeback against Japan.
