The Indian U19 Men's team is engaged in a very important match against Japan in the Under 19 Asia Cup. This match is being played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Japan won the toss in this game and put India to bat. The Indian openers gave them a brilliant start with Ayush Mhatre scoring a quick fire half-century and Vaibhav Suryavanshi playing a steady hand. The start provided by the openers was consolidated on by the middle order and they progressed towards a formidable captain.
Mohammad Amaan Plays A Stellar Knock For His Team
The skipper of the team, Mohammad Amaan played a brilliant knock and scored 122 runs off 118 deliveries. Karthikeya also contributed with a half-century and as a result India went well past the 300 mark. At the end of the innings, the Asian giants had posted 339/6 on the board.

In the chase, Japan made a slow and steady start. The opening wicket tested the patience of the Indian bowlers. They put on 50 runs for the opening stand and the Indian team were getting annoyed by this stand.
It was India's spin bowling all-rounder, Hardik Raj who provided India with the breakthrough. On the fourth over of the 14th over, Raj bowled a good length delivery at the off stump line. Nihar Parmar tried to open the face of his bat and guide it towards the third man region. However, he did not time it correctly and got an inside edge that ricocheted onto the stumps ending his resilient stay in the middle.
