Islamabad United had a memorable outing with the ball in the PSL 2024 final, as they restricted Multan Sultans to a modest total. Veteran all-rounder Imad Wasim emerged as the wrecker-in-chief for the United, rattling the Sultans with a clinical five-wicket haul. 

The left-arm spinner, who opened the bowling for the Shadab Khan-led team, made an instant impact in the game by dismissing Yasir Khan and pinch-hitter David Willey in his very first over. 

If this wasn't enough, he returned to get rid of Johnson Charles, Khushdil Shah and Chris Jordan, becoming the first-ever bowler to claim a five-wicket haul in a PSL final. 

However, besides his on-field heroics, one of Imad's off-field actions grabbed the limelight when he was caught smoking on live TV. 

After dismantling the Sultans with a spectacular fifer, the ace all-rounder was seen chilling and smoking a cigarette in the United's dressing room. 

His action, caught by the cameraman, spread like wildfire on social media and got mixed reactions from fans across the globe. 

Regarding the game, Shadab and Imad's bowling heroics reduced the Sultans to 127 for nine at one stage. However, a fighting 20-ball 32*-run cameo from Iftikhar Ahmed powered them to a competitive 159-run total in 20 overs.
