Colombo Strikers notched up their second win of the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, prevailing over the Galle Titans by seven wickets in an exciting high-scoring thriller on Monday, August 7th. 

Putting to bat first, Galle Titans posted 188 runs, conceding three wickets along the way. The Strikers, fuelled by Babar Azam's magnificent hundred, elegantly chased down the target in 19.5 overs. 

The Pakistan captain displayed sublime form throughout the innings. He ended up scoring 104 runs from 59 balls, aided by eight boundaries and five sixes before Kasun Rajitha trapped him up on an outside off delivery. 

The entire stadium resounded with chants of Babar Azam's name as he walked back to the pavilion, having played a match-winning innings. The 28-year-old is also committed to showing his gratitude to his fans. 

In one of those touching displays of post-match kindness, Babar Azam was spotted sitting on the stairs, signing an autograph for a cute little fan of his and posing for a photo with her. 

Meanwhile, the young kid couldn't contain her excitement upon receiving Babar Azam's autograph. She expressed her gratitude and affection by saying 'Thank you Babar Azam’ and 'I love you so much.' 

This heartwarming moment was caught on camera and shared on Colombo Strikers' official Twitter account, quickly gaining viral attention.

This is not the first occurrence of Babar Azam expressing his gratitude to his fans. On a previous occasion, after Pakistan's victory in the Test series against Sri Lanka, he was seen gifting his Test jersey to one of his devoted supporters. 

The Pakistan skipper currently stands as the top run-getter in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, having accumulated 211 runs in four matches at an average of 52 and a strike rate of 147.
