In a high-stakes encounter in Bengaluru between India and Australia in the ongoing 5th T20I, Yashasvi Jaiswal's promising innings came to an end in a manner that reflected the competitive spirit of the series.

Facing the bowling of Jason Behrendorff, Jaiswal, who had already contributed a brisk 21 runs off 15 balls, attempted an ambitious shot. Behrendorff delivered a well-calculated short-of-a-length ball around the off-stump, enticing Jaiswal to go for a pickup pull over mid-wicket. However, the young Indian batsman mistimed his shot, resulting in a miscue that sent the ball soaring high into the night sky.

Under the pressure of the lights and the magnitude of the contest, the miscued shot turned into an opportunity for the Australian fielders. Positioned at deep square leg, Nathan Ellis showed remarkable athleticism and composure as he moved forward and skillfully secured a steepling catch.

Behrendorff, having set the trap with a well-executed delivery, had the last laugh as Jaiswal's innings was cut short. The catch by Ellis added an extra layer of flair to the dismissal, reflecting the intensity and acrobatics associated with Aussie fielding.

At the time of writing, India stands at 34/2 after 5 overs.
