Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma created history at Hyderabad as they powered the fastest 160-plus chase in IPL history with unbelievable hitting. The duo smashed 167 runs in just 58 balls and made a mockery of the total that looked just par at the halfway mark.

The two left-handers though came out all guns blazing and left everyone on the ground at the edge of their seat with their power-hitting masterclass. Abhishek Sharma hit 75 off 28 balls while Travis Head hammered 89 off just 30 balls. The match was also ended in a great style by young Abhishek as he slapped a length delivery over long off for a maximum.

It was followed by a nice warm hug between the two openers as SRH management and the capacity home crowd assembled at the stadium applauded their stars.

SRH with this win have moved to the number three position and have taken a big step forward towards that playoff berth. LSG, on the other hand, have 12 points on the table and need to win their next two games to make it to the next round of this 17th edition of IPL 2024.
