Baroda Kick Out Bengal From the Semifinal Stage
After showcasing exceptional forms throughout the season, Baroda and Bengal faced each other in the quarterfinal game. While batting first, Baroda gave a solid start. with the openers put on 90 runs in the opening partnership. Shaswat Rawat added 40 runs and Abhimanyu Singh added 37 runs. Sivalik Sharma sparked with a quickfire knock of 24 runs in 17 balls. Wicketkeeper batter Vishnu Solanki remained unbeaten on 16 runs.
While defending a total of 172 runs, the Baroda bowlers put on a spectacular show. Lukman Meriwala secured the first wicket by dismissing Karan Lal. After that, he secured two quick wickets for Sudip Kumar Gharami and Writtick Chatterjee in the same over. Hardik Pandya and Atit Sheth secured 3 wickets each as they restricted Bengal in 131 runs. Baroda Triumphed with 41 run win and secured their spot in the semifinal stage.
