Smriti Mandhana is one of the finest batters in world cricket and is a pillar of the Indian batting lineup. Whenever she scores runs, India find itself in a strong position and her consistency over the years has made her a dependable asset. She recently scored an ODI century against New Zealand in decider and now against the mighty Aussies, the left-handed batter has notched up her ninth century in ODIs at WACA.
It is the third and final ODI of the series between the two sides and India are chasing a big target of 299. Aussies have already clinched the series by winning initial two matches and the Indian vice-captain looks quite determined to end the series on a high for her team. She got to her century in just 103 balls and her knock was full of grace and precision.
India Crumble After Mandhana's Century
Smriti Mandhana though could not carry on after her century and departed on 105 off 109 balls with 14 fours and a six. She was the fourth wicket to go down and from 189-3, India were reduced to 201-8.
Australia have already clinched the series with an unassailable lead of 2-0 and now looks set to notch up another victory. India started off the third ODI on a positive note with four early wickets, but Annabel Sutherland slammed 110 off just 95 balls and took Australia to commandable total which is again proving too hot to handle for India.
