With the performances India are putting in the World Cup 2023, they are the top contenders to lift the World Cup Trophy. The last time India lifted the World Cup trophy was back in 2011 when Virat Kohli was a youngster in the team.

Who would have thought at that time that Kohli would be one of the greatest cricketers in the world going forward? But he is inching closer towards breaking the record for most centuries in international cricket. Before reaching there, he surpassed the god of cricket to become a part of India's most wins in international cricket.

Earlier, it was Sachin Tendulkar who was standing tall, being a part of 307 international wins for India.

But now with the win against Sri Lanka, Kohli has become the player to be a part of most of India's wins at the international level.

Part of most wins for India in international cricket

  • Virat Kohli - 308 Wins*
  • Sachin Tendulkar - 307 Wins
  • MS Dhoni - 295 Wins
  • Rohit Sharma - 289 Wins*
  • Yuvraj Singh - 227 Wins

On the third, we have MS Dhoni, who not only helped India win games but also led the team to win the three ICC tournaments. Fourth, we have the current Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, who is part of 289 wins of the Indian team. The premium all-rounder of the Indian team, Yuvraj Singh, is at the fifth, being a part of 227 wins of the Indian team.

With a few more years of cricket left under Kohli's belt, undoubtedly, he will enhance these numbers to a greater level, which someone might not be able to reach for a long time going forward.
