Afghanistan skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi led by example once again on Friday (November 3) during their World Cup 2023 game against the Netherlands in Lucknow. As of writing, the middle-order batsman is batting on 37* off 39 balls after coming to chase a paltry 180, as the Asian side have posted 134/3 after 23.3 overs.
However, more than his batting, it was the thing he wore above his helmet that made headlines on Friday.
Fans did not initially notice it, but the International Cricket Council (ICC) provided a video that verified this. It appeared to be a tiny helicopter operating like a fan, most likely to stay cool in humid conditions.

Afghanistan have punched above their weights in the World Cup 2023, having already won thrice in six attempts. Under Shahidi's leadership, they defeated England, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, and are now on the verge of demolishing the Dutch side comprehensively.
Currently, Afghanistan are sixth on the points table, above the likes of England, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Their next victory will take them over noisy neighbours Pakistan as well.
