In the ongoing first ODI between Pakistan and Australia at the MCG in Melbourne, Haris Rauf has turned the course of the match by taking two successive wickets. 

Pakistan, batting first, put just 203 runs on the board that too because of Mohammad Rizwan and Naseem Shah's fourty-plus runs knocks. In reply, the hosts started positively and were cruising towards a comfortable win and were 113/2 at one point. 

Haris Rauf Changes The Course Of The Match With His Spell

However, Australia lost the next four wickets for just 26 runs, and Haris Rauf was the key man behind that. Notably, Rauf took three quick wickets that turned the course of the match. 

Firstly, Rauf took the crucial wicket of Steve Smith and then crippled Australia with two wickets in a single over. On the first ball of the 21st over, Rauf got the crucial wicket of Marnus Labuschagne with a brilliant short-ball delivery. 

On the very next delivery, he got rid of Glenn Maxwell, who returned to the pavilion for a golden duck. Rauf was elated after the dismissal and roared in aggression. 

Haris Rauf Used To Playing At The MCG

At the time of writing this article, Australia are 155/6 and still require 49 runs to win in 151 balls. Talking about Haris Rauf, he has been the best bowler and registered the figures of 3/46 in his six overs. 

It is worth noting that Haris Rauf is used to the MCG pitch as he features for Melbourne Stars in the BBL. Thus, he is well versed with the bounce and pace at this strip. Also, it is worth noting that since Maxwell scored that double hundred against Afghanistan, he has not scored a solitary fifty-plus score.
