It is a dark day in Indian cricket as the Rohit Sharma-led side suffered a 25-run defeat in the third Test against New Zealand. For the first time in history, the hosts have been whitewashed in a three-match Test series at home.

Following the defeat, India and several players registered their names in unwanted lists, and head coach Gautam Gambhir is under heavy criticism as India have slipped to the 2nd spot in WTC standings.

Meanwhile, a video has been going viral on the internet where chief selector Ajit Agarkar engaged in a lengthy conversation with head coach Gambhir, hinting at possible changes in the team for the upcoming series. The duo engaged in a conversation for over 15 minutes.

Batters Disappoint Against New Zealand

The humiliating defeat against New Zealand exposed the weak batting unit as the batters failed to chase a small target of 147 runs. Further, faulty technique and wrong shot selection are some of the topics that Agarkar and Gambhir could have been talking during their interaction.

Further, the duo also could have been talking about Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the other  upcoming series. Also, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's form is also a major concern as the two have failed with the bat.

Notably, Rohit has scored just 91 runs in six innings in this series, while Virat Kohli amassed 93 runs with the bat which featured a solitary fifty-plus score. Thus, the question remains whether India would look to make changes to their squad for the upcoming series, which includes the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli being dropped.
