Karnataka's premier batter Abhinav Manohar showcased his power-hitting skills in Shivamogga Lions' latest group-stage encounter against Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja Trophy T20 tournament. The stylish right-handed batter played a brisk cameo with the help of two huge sixes during the game.

Coming at number five, Manohar, who hammered a belligerent knock against Mangaluru, could muster only 17 runs before Shreesha Achar got rid of him. 

However, one of his sixes grabbed the limelight, as it broke the commentary box glass of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

The incident occurred during the eleventh over of the Lions' innings when the Tigers' captain Manish Pandey brought Shreesha Achar into the attack. 

His move backfired on the Tigers, as Abhinav Manohar smacked the left-arm spinner for a massive six over the long-off on his first ball. He followed it up with another biggie, with the ball breaking the glass of the commentary box.  

However, the wily spinner made a remarkable comeback, dismissing the dangerous batter on the penultimate delivery of his over. 

His dismissal opened the floodgates for Shivamogga Lions, who lost five more wickets in 66 runs to finish their innings on an underwhelming 137/9 in 17 overs. 

In response, Hubli Tigers breached the 50-run mark inside just 3.2 overs, securing a commanding eight-wicket win in DLS method.
