Gerald Coetzee is one of the finest young talents in world cricket currently and is known for his raw pace and never-say-die attitude. He is a genuine wicket-taker and always tends to find away to pick wickets at regular intervals for his side. In the game against Afghanistan at Ahmedabad, he is once again showing his class and got two big wickets of Ibrahim Zadran and Ikram Alikhil to shatter Afghanistan's hopes.

The second of those wickets was of Alikhil who was batting well but Coetzee proved too hot to handle for the Afghan wicketkeeper batter. It was the fifth delivery of the 27th over and Coetzee like he normally does bowled a short of good-length delivery, around off. It seamed away a bit angling across the left-hander and Alikhil pushed at it tentatively. The ball though caught the outside edge of his blade and went to Quinton de Kock behind the stumps who took a regulation catch as Afghans lost their five wickets with just 112 on the board.

Mohammad Nabi who replaced Alikhil also could not last long and Lungi Ngidi got the better of him in the 28th over of the match. At the time of writing, Afghanistan are six down and need someone to support Azmatullah Omarzai who is batting well at the other end.
