Ben Stokes will go down as one of the finest all-rounders in the history of the game and over the years, he has displayed some tremendous skills under pressure. He played a big role in the final of the 2019 50-over World Cup and 2022 T20 World Cup and now he is once again, showing his class in the World Cup 2023 when all other have failed big time. In Pune, against Netherlands, it was Ben Stokes at his best as he smashed a scintillating hundred with all others around him, failing miserably.

Ben Stokes came out to bat with England at 133-2 in the 21st over but soon started losing partners at the other end. In no time, England were reduced to 192-6 and it looked like they will be bowled out for a below-par score again. Ben Stokes though stood tall, weathered the storm and then unleashed his might with a brilliant century in just 78 balls. He got to his last 50 runs in just 20 balls and showed great composure under pressure, once again when his team needed it the most.

He eventually departed for 108 off just 84 balls but has taken England to a score that can be termed as a winning score.
